October 2010 Bloopers

For some reason, there were a lot of pictures this month that made me laugh. So I am going to share. We had such a hard time getting a picture with happy kids that I couldn't stop laughing.

Looking at this one, I now see the design flaw of this shirt. It should say, Sassy.

Can you say baby botox?

Jacque can be the queen of funny faces. Here is a series of them...

I actually like this picture of Rohan. Too bad I only got half of his face.

She looks like she is trying to escape somewhere...

Jaden isn't mad about the pumpkin painted on his hand. The sun is just in his eyes...

This was in response to my, "hold still and smile". Jaden got up and walked away...

Oct. 31, 2010: Halloween

The 3 Ninjas...

One cute ladybug...

Ninjas saving the ladybug!

Pumpkins. Before...

Higley pumpkins after.

Tungate pumpkins after.

Glowing pumpkins.

Oct. 27-30, 2010: Snips, Snails, and Puppy Dog Tails

Getting a puppy was not really on my agenda. But how can you possibly say no to those puppy dog eyes. She melted my heart and then crawled into my lap and snuggled in. And there you have it. So cute!!!

The boys were outside having a pow-wow about what to play next.

My favorite pictures of Rohan are candid ones. Most pictures of him, he is clowning around. Which is one side of him, but this one shows the other side of his personality. Cool, calm, laid back... silly bands and all.

Jaden has been asking for weeks to help me make cookies. This week, it finally happened. One happy kid! Flour everywhere and an inordinate amount of chocolate chips. Best cookies ever!

Jaden got to wear his Halloween costume to school today and then they had a parade and walked around campus Trick-or-Treating. Super Hero and Ninja sandwich...

Rohan had his last game this week and then we all went out for ice cream. Here is his trophy for being such an awesome teammate.

Oct. 25-26, 2010: Pumpkins!

Jacque, sporting her festive pumpkin jammies. She kept trying to take the camera from me!

This next set of pictures is from Banducci's Pumpkin Patch. This is my favorite time of year to take pictures and every year, we come here. There is just something about kids and pumpkins that I love! We may have to change it up next year though because the kids think it is a silly tradition!

This is Rohan's pumpkin from class the way that he wanted to decorate it. All I can say is decorative brads! So easy!

Oct. 17-23, 2010: Fall Is Finally Here!

Cousin Cassidy's birthday! Such an awesome cake! And it's finally starting to feel like fall weather outside!

It's been raining a lot this week and I was trying to get a picture of the rain. But this is the best I could do. My Canna Lilies were falling over because they were so heavy with all of the rainwater collecting in them.

I was putting groceries away when Jaden said, "Mommy! Look! Jacque is all decorated for Halloween!"

Jaden fell down at preschool today and scraped his arm pretty good. He was proud of his war wound and was showing it to me. But I liked the smiley face bandaid the best!

This is Jacque at the Fall Festival at Jaden's Preschool. They have some wonderful activities and always invite the families to come and join in the fun.

Here is Jaden in the "Pumpkin Patch" at school. One of my favorite Fall pictures this year!

He wanted to pose by each little scarecrow and each time, he would hold the scarecrow's hand.

On the spur of the moment, we picked up Heidi and went to lunch together. Jaden wanted to go ring the doorbell and pick her up for our date.

Meet Ali, our new addition. She came with us to Rohan's soccer game but just slept in Xander's lap the whole time. Awww....

Oct. 10-16, 2010: Bows, Bikes, and Babies

Sweet Jacque! I spent time making some bows for Jacque so this is one of her new ones. Her patriotic outfit was inspired by Jaden's parade last week!

My neighbors helped me in my bow making endeavors and then they went home and made some of their own. This was one that they made for me... I love it!

Budge spent some time this week with Rohan and practicing riding his bike. Good exercise for Dad! :-)
This is Xander helping with Jacque at Rohan's soccer practice. He is such an awesome big brother! I can't wait until he is old enough to babysit his siblings. He will be an awesome babysitter!

My favorite hairdresser that moved away is back! So this is the new do. This is also an example of what children will do to you. She matched my natural hair color... I'm a little darker these days. When I looked in the mirror I kept thinking, "Well, maybe Snow White for Halloween...?"
Loving the cute table runner that my mom sent me. Goes perfectly with our candycorn dish!

Jacque is starting to roll all over the place. She has always had such a strong neck and holds her head up so well. And soon, she will have abs of steel.

Pirate Jaden. Although, he is a good pirate. The Mickey Mouse T-shirt is a dead giveaway.

Rohan at his soccer game trying to get his game face on.

Still loving the sunsets. So beautiful!

This was an impromptu game of Duck, Duck, Goose with some of the other kids at Xander's soccer game. Don't you just wish you were a kid again?

Rohan was helping Jaden with his ABC flashcards. Jaden said, "Y is for Cat Toy." Love that boy.
